Our Staff

The Guide

Debbie King became the managing director of the Green Houses in October 2013.  She has over 25 years of experience working in a medical care capacity beginning as a certified medical assistant in various clinical settings and then as a medical transcriptionist/editor working remotely in order to raise her children at home.  Debbie and her husband, Matt, have been married for 25 years and have called the Chattahoochee Valley home for over 20 years.  Their two children, Tara and Michael, are now grown and Debbie feels blessed to have the opportunity to once again work outside the home in a job that honors her passion for person-centered care.  The Green House model of elder care lends itself perfectly to Debbie’s desire to put the needs of the elder first and provide them a secure, loving home environment that respects their need for dignity and choice.  Debbie is currently continuing her education and is pursuing her degree in Healthcare Administration and hopes to eventually get her master’s degree in Healthcare Management.  In her free time, Debbie enjoys spending as much time as she can with her 10-year-old grandson, Seth, relaxing in the mountains, and reading a good book.

The Nurse

April3April Harmon comes to the Green Houses from Americus, GA where she graduated from South Georgia Tech in 2009.  She joined the Green House team in July 2014 and has adapted to our specific model of care very nicely.  She particularly likes the fact that our homes are elder-centered and strive to put the elders needs first in all that we do.  She has worked as an LPN at various nursing homes in Americus and Columbus.  She is the mother of 3 children that keep her very busy when she is not caring for our elders at the Green House.  She enjoys exercise, particularly running, and reading and watching movies.  April has recently enrolled in the RN bridge program at Columbus Technical College and hopes to further her experience and knowledge in order to provide excellent nursing care for our elders.

The Admin Assistant

Jacki George joined the Green House Staff in April 2013.  She has many years administrative experience along with CNA and Proxy Caregiver training.  She and her husband Jared have one son, Morgan and have been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter Anna Grace.

Jacki has fallen in love with the Green House Elder’s and enjoys spending her time engaging and helping care for them.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, fishing and having cookouts at the lake.
